Bring a recipe in from its link

You found a recipe on a site you like. Paste its link, check what SavorBook filled in, and save. From then on it is yours to plan, cook and shop for.
Paste the link

Click “New recipe” in the sidebar and paste the address of the recipe page. If you imported that page before, SavorBook tells you and offers to open the recipe you already have, so you can open it instead of importing it twice.
Check what it filled in

The recipe form opens with the title, photo, servings, prep and cook time, steps and ingredients already in place. A banner names the site and asks you to “Check it and save.” Fix an amount here and it is right in every plan after.
Your foods, matched

Each ingredient is matched to a food you already have, even if the page writes onion red
where you wrote red onion. Lines that match nothing are marked new, and saving adds them to
your foods and units, so the next recipe finds them. Your shopping list keeps adding up the
onions instead of listing them twice.
Where import stops
- It reads the recipe a page publishes for search engines. When a page has none, you see “No recipe was found on this page.” and can type the recipe in yourself.
- Units arrive as the page wrote them. A page’s
tbspstaystbspuntil you change it. - It reads links only. Photos of cookbook pages and pasted text are not supported.
